‘Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”‘
Mary Anne Radmacher
Mental wellbeing is essential, in order for a child to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
Athena Minds is a mental health support service, focusing on education-related issues, such as exam anxiety, social anxiety, bullying and home sickness as well as offering support to people with learning difficulties.
We offer friendly mentors, counsellors and chartered psychologists who work with students, providing support, advice and developing strategies to help lessen the negative impact that a departure from good mental health can have on a student’s functioning.
After a discussion, we take into account the characteristics and severity of the situation, and suggest which service of ours is most appropriate, as well as the recommended number of sessions. In the event that a client seeks a more clinical perspective for their child, we recommend the services of our partners at The Blue Tree Clinic. Our priority is to ensure that every child gets placed with the specialist most appropriate for their needs.
