Athena Tuition

Computer Science and Programming Tutors

At Athena Tuition, we work alongside some of the most experienced and knowledgeable computer science and programming tutors in the UK. Many of our tutors are available for online tutoring or in-person tutoring around London.

Why study computer science?

Computer Science graduates are some of the most employable people in the world. Companies such as Alphabet, Tesla, Palantir, Meta and Nvidia are lining up to try to attract the most talented individuals to help shape the future of society with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics and chip innovation.

Therefore, for those interested in quantitative fields (Maths, Physics, Engineering, Coding), strong consideration should be given to Computer Science as a potential degree course.

Some schools offer Computer Science qualifications at GCSE and A-Level, but for those that do not, Maths, Further Maths and Physics are recommended options to be in the best position for university course application. Some of the most prestigious universities may have additional admissions requirements, such as an admissions test (TMUA, MAT or ESAT) and an admissions interview.

Computer Science Tuition at Athena Tuition

Our Computer Science tuition can be split into four primary areas.

1. Coding tuition. Our tutors can support with the full range of programming languages, including Python, HTML, SQL, JavaScript, C++.

2. GCSE and A-Level support. This involves a combination of consolidating the syllabus content to ensure foundations are rock solid, and working on exam technique in order to squeeze as many marks out of the papers as possible. Our tutors can support with all exam boards.

3. University admissions. This revolves around extension work for personal statements, UCAS support, and tuition for admissions tests and interviews.

4. Undergraduate and postgraduate tuition. This is higher level support, which can either take the form of longer term mentorship, or focussed tutoring for assessments, projects and presentations.

In-person or online tuition can be provided, however, online is the most popular format for Computer Science
