Admissions Process
Beyond the standard university admissions hurdles, students applying to Oxbridge may be expected to jump through additional hoops, for example, Cambridge’s “My Cambridge Application”, sample essays, admissions assessments and interviews (usually in December).

- MAT for Computer Science and Maths degrees at Oxford.
- MLAT for Languages courses at Oxford.
- MML Admissions Assessment for Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge.
- PAT for Physics, Engineering and Materials Science at Oxford.
- STEP for Maths and Maths with Physics at Cambridge (+ some other courses if specified by the college).
- TMUA for Computer Science and Economics courses at Cambridge.
- TSA for multiple Social Sciences courses at Oxford.
- UCAT for Medicine at both universities.

Oxbridge interview tutoring
The interview process for Oxbridge admissions can be incredibly daunting, but our tutors are here to provide guidance every step of the way.

When it comes to interviews, we coach applicants to be comfortable on the boundary between ‘knowing’ and ‘not-knowing’ the precise answer; sometimes interviewers will ask questions where there is no ‘one correct answer’.
Offers
After the interview, if an applicant is successful, they will likely receive a conditional offer ranging from AAA to A*A*A*A* (or equivalent), perhaps including other special requirements like grades for STEP examinations.
Post-Offer Tuition
Our tutors can provide support throughout the rest of the academic year in order to maximise the offer holder’s chance of meeting these exam requirements. This involves rigorous, syllabus-specific tuition with a significant emphasis on exam technique.
If a candidate meets their entry requirements, the universities can sometimes issue problem sheets for the students to complete to lay a bit of the groundwork and bring the students up to speed before commencing the course. Our tutors can support with this, too.

For any students unsure about the colleges, departments, or courses at Oxford or Cambridge, we have tutors based at each university who are happy to provide custom guided tours. During these tours, they can also provide insights into what life is actually like at these universities.
